today i will be posting 2 times since i didn’t get to it last night.
yesterday’s food log looks pretty good. i didn’t get the fruit in the morning because i didn’t get time to make it before church with amelia being a bit needy. lunch was a blt, with pears and applesauce on the side. dinner was chicken with broccoli and carrots (the carrots didn’t turn out well so they didn’t really get eaten). all in all i am very proud of my first day. i need to wash my nutribullet so i can start juicing. i’m very excited about that.
i also need to start working on counting calories or just making sure i’m taking in a lot of healthy cals and fats. breastfeeding is taking a lot out of me and i don’t want to wither away into nothing. gotta do some more research on that.
this morning i missed out on the smoothy so far but hopefully when amelia wakes i’ll make it. there’s no way i’m running my blender while she’s sleeping. it was a rough night so i’m not taking chances with her naps today.
on another note with cooking…..i received cast iron cookware for chirstmas from my wonderful brothers. i’ve been using them and focusing on only using them as much as possible. so excited to use the dutch oven. eek! i never knew i’d be so excited about cooking ware. haha! crockpot will be used more as well this season. i’m going to purchase a 4qt one as well….or ask for it for my birthday. that way i can do main dish and sides at the same time…..what?!?! that’s fantastic!
Well my pumpkin month didn’t turn out as spectacular as I had hoped. I did end up making a few items, and I’ll still continue, but in case you cared here’s how it went.
Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies
Pumkin Oatmeal Muffins
Pumpkin Pie (from scratch)
I’ve still got many things left to make. Well not many but I do have LOTS of pumpkin stuff to use!
There’s not much to say in this post. I have a lot of lovely pictures. We visited Brady’s dad the weekend of the 22nd. It’s been 3 weeks and I’m finally posting about it. We relaxed, ate, ate, and relaxed. It was a great trip and we had beautiful weather and scenery, even the rain was a beautiful welcome for us Arizonans!
my new favorite hand dryers
the start of pumpkin day, pumpkin pancakes and flavor for my coffee!
Love the color!
the weather was awesome

i love this place
going for a hike
I started first with my friend Trista’s recipe of pumpkin chocolate chip cookies. They were delicious! Everyone that tried one loved them! I was so thrilled to have started off with a good and easy recipe. I’m also hoping to get a pumpkin bread done and even a pumpkin cheesecake. I’ve got a lot of recipes to try and sort through so we’ll see what I end up with. I’m glad I work in an office again because I can take at least half of what I make and have them try it so Brady and I don’t eat it all!
Well I’ve decided to bake pumpkin these next two months. I was originally going to keep it only to the month of October, but then I decided since I make a pumpkin roll for Thanksgiving I might as well push it to 2 months. I love pumpkin. Did you know that?
